Well, I was born and raised right here in Woodville. I started school at Woodville and went to Spurger starting my 6th grade year. Graduated 4th in my class...out of 14!
My first year out, I was a nanny for three kids for six months. Then after that I babysat for two little boys during the week & worked weekends at Dickerson Memorial Hospital in Jasper for another six months.
Then I started full time at Dickerson where I'm a Ward Clerk on the Med/Surg unit. Basically, that's a glorified secretary. I answer phones, the patient call light. Schedule labs/xrays, etc. Transfer patients to other facilities, talk to doctors...all that jazz. LOTS OF PAPERWORK!!! I love it!!! It can get crazy, but I really do love it. The atmosphere is laid back, the staff is friendly, my boss is like my best friend. (Yeah, I'm a brown noser!!)
In February of 2005 I bought my first home. A 1970s blue & white trailor home. The kitchen needed remodeling and the floors kind of sucked. That that stuff fixed and its decorated like I want it, and its my home! About a 1 minutes WALK from my parents house, so that's cool! The outside isn't too pretty, but its mine and that's all that matters.
