Still Sick! ...And Caught Between A Rock & A Hard Place!

Wednesday morning my boss, who happened to be working on the floor with us, gave me a Rocephin shot and a steroid shot.    She said it was supposed to work or help greatly in about two days time.  Well, the snot is no longer in my nose,  its back up in my sinuses and I still have my cough.  My PCP usually puts me on a Z-Pack and a mucus med, so just the one Rx shot and steroid probably really didn't help!

Anyway, Heber & Ashlei are getting induced this coming Wednesday.    I'm really caught between just not worrying about the horses (all animals) or staying here to take care of them.  I really, really want to be up there, and I know I should be up there.  But I have things I need to take care of here.  I know I could get a neighbor to just make sure the goats have water and to make sure Lucky Joe has water...  But what about work?

They have people to work for me, but am I going to get paid for not requesting this time off 2-4 weeks ago?  How can you "plan" for a babies arrival?  I think my boss would fight to get me some time, but will I get it?!  We'd be leaving Tuesday and getting back...  Monday morning sometime.  So, really, that's only two days missed.  But two days is anywhere from 20 - 24 hours!

Okay, I just made up my mind.  I think I'm going to just risk it and pray Heavenly Father helps me out on this one!!  Mom's put me on the Dave Ramsey "Total Money Make Over" and right now I'm still working on putting the $1000 reserve fund.  Maybe this is a sign...  Maybe I was supposed to start saving for these two days I may miss...  Eh?!  So, if I don't get my time...I have that reserve in the back of the freezer to help me through until next payday!!

Groovy...its settled then!!  I'm going...darn the costs!!!  (HeHeHe...)  Family is #1 and that's just how its going to be!  I'll get Bro. Slaygle to look after the goats and ask if he'll make sure Lucky Joe has water (he has three LARGE water troughs, surely he can make it a few days)...the mares can make it a few days without being fed and I'll just go!

Thanks for all your help!
