I've decided to take my Uncle Ron's advise and go ahead and come. One of the ladies in our church was going to have a get together at her house, but cancelled and Sarah was planning on coming and staying with us. I mentioned to Kevin this tid bit of info and he told Sarah and she wasn't really looking forward to the drive over. We told him that we (me and Dad) are totally willing to come pick her up.
I tried calling several times and she didn't answer... Mom said Kevin called her and said she needed her, and I asked if she wouldn't mind if I came. So, here I am. Sarah acted like she didn't want me here. She like didn't look at me, didn't talk to me...didn't even acknowledge I was even here.
At first, I felt like I was going to cry my eyes out! Plus it didn't help I'd been up for about 25 hours... I finally jut laid down before I walked home at about 9pm. You can see the time now... I just got finished feeding Claire, changing a diaper and bouncing her tummy ache away.
Sarah said Claire is a "pteradactyle possessed baby"... And its true... When she gets totally upset, she sounds like one of those flying dinosaurs. But I think I've figured she just needs to be burped more often. I noticed Sarah and Kevin feed her like 1.5 oz at a time, burps, the other 1.5 and burps...only one burp... So, when I had her, I tried feeding like 1/2 oz and burping her for more than one good burp... and the dino never came. Hopefully, Sarah will take me advise and try it this way...
And the the PPD, baby Claire is totally getting Sarah's vibes and freaking out. Her doctor has an Rx for her and hopefully that'll work, and with a good night's rest, she'll be ready. I told her, since she has no other commitments...when that baby sleeps, she needs to sleeps. She's up all day with Claire and tries to sleep at night and, of course, it gets interupted and she's not getting that full nights rest. We'll see though.
...I've found a farrier to come and work on the horses, but I have to call him and schedule it how I need it. Which is totally cool, whatever I have to do to take care of them. He's worked with Dad at the prison and is really patient with the horses. (Plus, he's cute!!)
Dad said he's found a buyer for Pearl, but I really don't think I can do it!!!! She's the first baby on the place and I am soooooo attached. That's one of the biggest weaknesses I have with this Ranch thing. That can be good and bad...and with my limited income and limited land use, its not so good. We'll see, though!! (I think that's my new quote)
Till Next Time... Emelie
